Lentils and buckwheat

The Bioland Mammel farm in Lauterach has been cultivating lentils since 1985. Due to high demand, Max and Woldemar Mammel founded the organic producer association "Alb-Leisa" in 2001. This community of lentil growers has since grown to over 140 organic farms. In 2009, Lutz Mammel took over the "Alb-Leisa" branch of the business and has renamed the Bioland processing plant Lauteracher Alb-Feld-Früchte since 2014.

The Mammel family grows buckwheat in addition to lentils, garlic and grains.
